Call Unto Me and I Will Answer Thee

I would like to start off by saying that I firmly believe God hears all of his children's prayers ("the righteous cry, and the Lord heareth..."Psalm 34:17 KJV). God has given endless promises to His people. One of these promises is to hear their prayers - in Psalm 18:6 and Isaiah 59:1, God repeatedly assures us that He hears our prayers. Our merciful God does not just hear our prayers, He also answers our prayers. I would like to share with you a remarkable time in my life when God answered my prayers in such a wonderful way.

Six years ago, when my oldest daughter was three and my triplets were one, I was having a very difficult time with motherhood. I was overwhelmed with the task of being a mom to four wonderful children and with all the "work" that entailed. I felt as if God was not listening to my cries for help. I needed help, and lots of it. I was very desperate and needed my heavenly Father's love and power to help me draw closer to Him. I cried out to Him with all my heart, knowing He had never let me down before. I asked Him what I should do and knew that He held all the answers. As I read His Word, He showed me the answer to my dilemna - I should surround myself with His people. I wasn't sure exactly how to do this, but the next Sunday at church, the Pastor announced that the women's bible study would be starting that week. I knew God had given me my answer.

I had never been to a bible study and was pretty nervous about the whole thing. I decided to trust what God had shown me. The bible study began at 9:30am and I knew this would be a big obstacle. I had tried on my own, and never had success in getting anywhere with the kids dressed that early. I knew I would not be able to get there on my own, so I asked God to get us there on time. I will never forget the morning of that first bible study. God perfectly allowed time to seemingly stop so that we arrived at His house to be with His people - early! The first words I heard when we walked through the door at the bible study were, "There you are, I am so glad you made it!" Hallelujah! God is SO good!! Not only did my loving, merciful, gracious God get us there, He had sent His angels (the other ladies in the bible study) to meet me there! I was speechless. How did they know I was coming? The love and fellowship I found that day have transformed my life forever. I didn't know there were so many women in our church that love God like I do. Not only did these sisters watch my kids for an hour so I could study God's Word, they loved me with a love that could only be of the Father. I have been studying His precious book ever since and praising God for all He is and for all He has done in my life. My prayer for you today is that you will dig into God's goldmine and experience His treasures too. Don't let another day go by without experiencing the love He has for you!

I encourage you to believe in to the precious words found in Jeremiah 33:3 - "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (KJV)". Each one of these words are like pure gold. Prepare your heart for a blessing and let our God pour out His love and mercy upon you today.

Have you had an experience when God has answered your prayers? I would love to hear from you!

Kim
