Hi Ladies! Happy Monday!
I am one of the newest members of the Mom Squad! My name is Lisa and I am so happy to share my life and love of Jesus with you on this Mom Squad blog. If you met me in person you would see that I am happy, energetic, love to laugh and love to make others laugh. I really have come to believe that this is a God given talent, and I really love that he blessed me with it. My husband is a Persian Gulf War Veteran and I was in the Army Reserves. We have two children: Sarah (19) and Jason (11).
I became Catholic Christian in 2005. This was a very special time in my life. That journey has led me on a path of getting closer to Jesus and the miracles that I have witnessed along the way are so wonderful and amazing that I will have to wait and tell you about them another day. With that being said, the sisters at Sancta Clara Monastery have become a special extended family of prayer to me and my family. These beautiful and sweet women make the most wonderful soup and bread. They have bread and soup sales, throughout the year and the next sale is this month and the dates are below.
Please visit them and try some of their wonderful food. I love visiting the monastery and love the fact that when I need prayer for my family, friends or people that I meet, I know that they will pray for us. If any of you have any special prayer requests, please email me on the blog and I will make sure that I get your prayer requests to the sisters. I have come to realize that God is using me as an instrument; so that I can help others become closer to God. We are on this earth together, sometimes for a shorter time than we can even think and we need to pray for each other and lift each other up.
Without faith and prayer in my life, I would not have been able to get through some difficult times in my life. It is important to show people Jesus by being a light in the world. I have heard this said many times at church, but I truly believe, if we let our light shine we will be examples to the lost and with hope and prayer get these souls to know the Lord God.
