It's My Birthday!

"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5 (NLT)

I woke up this morning feeling like I was going to conquer the world! I've been in my word consistently, my prayer life has been taken to another level, and I just ended another successful fast! This is an awesome way to say Happy 26th Birthday to myself, feeling more of a connection to Christ than I've ever had before.

I've come to the realization that my very existence is a clear sign of God's unconditional love and grace. It blows my mind every time that I read Jeremiah 1:5 where God states that He knew me even before I was formed in my mother's womb. Meaning, before my conception and birth, The Lord already knew who I was and who I would turn out to be. It's almost like He loved me so much that He was able to look past my future failures and give me His stamp of approval to be born into this world.

I believe that God purposely chose my parents, being fully aware of the baggage that they each carried and would one day pass onto me. He also allowed me to stumble, fall, and then stand up just to fall back down again, knowing that with His strength I would one day be able to overcome any trial that was brought my way.

In my present day existential plight it may look as if I'm carrying my mother's mess and my daddy's demons, but His word says that before I was born, I was set apart. In my eyes that means that my life was already planned and set apart for His purposes where He would one day cleanse me of my sins and turn my mess into a message.

God knew that I would fail Him time after time and He also knew that at the age of 23 I would begin to make a conscious effort to live holistically. The Lord knew that I would one day desire to stay aligned with the pre-destined consecrated lifestyle that He chose for me and that I would act directly, immediately, consciously, and diligently with my pre-established purpose and destiny.

I was not given the gift of prophecy like the end of the verse states. But I was given some amazing gifts and talents that I purposely use to bless others and advance His Kingdom.

Today, I am proud to say that my Lord and Savior has carried me 26 blessed years and that there are still many more to come. I'm in a  beautiful place, where I am fully aware of His presence in my life, knowing that my connection to Him is pushing me closer to my destiny. I am convinced that my dream is right around the corner. To attain my level of purpose I must seek Him and ask for guidance and clarification for the journey ahead.

This year I will rest in his presence even when the trials and difficulties come. I am learning to relax in His peace, for He will strengthen me and prepare me for all that is to come, transforming my fears and confusion into confident trust in Him. He was with me in the beginning, He is here now, and He will be with me forever. I speak wealth, health, and prosperity over my life today. And I thank God for blessing me with my heart's desires according to His will. This will be a blessed birthday and a blessed year in Jesus' name, Amen!

What are the gifts that The Lord set aside for you and how are you using them to advance the Kingdom? What things can you change in your life to better position yourself for your purpose and destiny? Start planning now a birthday worth celebrating because of all of your hard work and dedication to living a life sold out for Christ!
