What I Know...

I know that God wants you to be encouraged so if you're not, and are going through some deep waters right now, I want to help you to find true encouragement in God's Word. God has given us so many precious promises we need to know so that when the storms of life come (and they will), we have something to hold on to. We can find strength in His promises and the confidence and assurance we need to get through the storm. So if you feel as if the devil is attacking you and you're losing the battle, please don't live in fear of him. Instead, fight back with the weapon that God has equipped us with - His holy Word!

There are 3 things God really wants you to know:

1) We have to know who God really is. He is almighty, all-powerful, and in control. We have a heavenly Father that loves us and will never let us go. As much as it might seem like the devil is gaining ground, he is not! Hold on tight and hold on to the promises God has given us in His Word. There is nothing that you have done, or anything you can do to make God stop loving you. In Romans 9:38-39 God promises that nothing can separate us from the love of God. He is merciful, loving, forgiving, and forever faithful.

2) You need to know who you are in Christ. God repeatedly tells us in His Word, that we are His! Romans 8:16-17 lovingly explains, "..that we are the children of God". This promise alone should have us rejoicing! We are His children and He is on our side. Whom shall we fear? You should find great encouragement in knowing that you are the child of the King of all kings. You are His, and in Romans 8:28, He gives us His promise that we can KNOW that ALL things work together for good to them that love Him. In John 16:27 Jesus tells us that the Father himself loves us.

3) We need to know that the devil is defeated in our lives because God lives within us! Do not give place to the devil in your life. If the devil is whispering discouraging words in your ear, fight back with God's loving words. Don't let the devil deceive you. Read God's Word and be encouraged and realize how much your Father in heaven loves you.

I encourage you to spend some alone time with God today and rejoice in God's Word. If you are going through a really tough storm and would like me to pray for you, please email me and I will gladly lift your name up to our Lord.

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." - John 16:33 (KJV).
