Do you have a life verse?

I never really thought of having a life verse before someone in my bible study told me theirs and asked if I had one. That was several years ago. It has taken me awhile to really find just one verse in God’s precious Word that would be mine. God’s Word is so good, how could I just pick one? There are so many verses that God has shown and spoken to me.  All of them mean more than gold to me and I cling to them with all my heart and soul.
After much prayer and seeking for this one special verse, God revealed to me what this verse is. It is a very special verse to me because it represents how I believe God has taught me and shown me how to live. Not just merely survive, or get by but actually LIVE and hopefully teach others to do the same. My life verse is found in the book of Matthew 6:33 -
But seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV)
I emphasize the word “first” because it is the key element to the beautiful passage that God has given us. He wants us to put Him first in our lives and all other things will fall into place. His holy precious promise is awesome! He promises that if we put Him absolutely first, He will take care of the rest. No need to worry about clothes, food, or what others think of us. He needs to be first.
If you are wondering how you can make God #1 in your life, and you have not done so, all you need to do is ask Him. Call upon Him, the best you know how (pray) and simply tell Him that this is what your desire is (he already knows your desires and needs before you come). This is pleasing to God. He is waiting for you to come to Him.  Ask Him to help you to put Him first. Then BELIEVE. Believe that He can, and that He will lead you and show you. I know this sounds too simple and too good to be true, but it’s the only way you are going to live the best life you can possibly live! If you have placed God first in your life and you have seen and “tasted” the Father’s will for your life, please email and let me know. I would love to hear from you.
