Summer......Vacation, Fun, Family, Workouts!
Summer break is here! I love having my kids home for summer break......well, most of the time! I love that they can sleep in a little bit, and we don't have to worry about homework on top of the rest of our busy schedules which gives us more time to relax and enjoy each other a little more. This is also the time of year when a lot of us will be going on family vacations. I love family vacations! I love breaks from our busy schedules and just hanging out together. Summer break usually means not so much of a strict schedule, later nights which means sleeping in a little bit more, and sometimes that messes up "my time" for ourselves. But it does not have to mean a break from exercising and taking care of ourselves. Play a game of kick ball with the kids, go swimming, ride bikes, go for a walk, hike, or even do exercises together. I believe it's very important to stay active and for your kids to see you active. You know what they say......"The family that plays together, stays together." Below is a list of no equipment exercises that you can do anywhere at anytime, and you can make it as short or long as you want. So, there should never be an excuse that you didn't have a gym near by or equipment. What's fun is you can do them together as a family too! You want to start out with 10 reps of each exercise, equaling 1 set. Take a 60 second break between each set and repeat as many times as you want. Enjoy your summer break with your friends and family, and stay active!
