In this workshop Brooke will outline creative techniques for making the home a holier place. Helping you embrace the call to ignite the first flames of faith in your children and to keep the fire burning through life's joys and challenges. Brooke will offer simple tips to help families grow closer to God and each other to make the home a place of prayer and celebration.

2) Reclaiming His Peace in the Hustle Bustle of Hospitality with Josie Valley and Chef Robin Blair

Lessons From Both Mary & Martha: If Jesus and His Disciples suddenly knocked on your door looking for a place to rest their feet and fill their bellies, would you be calm, collected and prepared?  I think most of us feel we can relate to Martha’s desire to serve her honored Guest(s) instead of Mary’s desire to sit at Jesus’s feet and worship Him.

Josie & Robin will discuss the hearts of Christ and these two women concerning service and worship.  We will give tips on how to be prepared in a hurry, without the stress of an anxious heart. Robin will offer a cooking demonstration for a meal that can be ready in no time by items usually on hand in the pantry. Josie will conclude with a worry-free 5 min dessert recipe.  Session will conclude with a taste sampling during a brief Q & A.

3) Generational Mothering Panel with Marlia Johnson, Kathleen Horvath, and Christine Boyle

Join mothers from different seasons of parenting for a lively, fun and interactive discussion.  You will have an opportunity to pre-submit your question and to receive feedback from new and seasoned moms.  Members of the Mom Squad will be "passing the torch"  of motherly wisdom while sharing their trials and triumphs on this journey we call motherhood.

2014 Women In Ministry Breakfast Recap (Part 2)



We are excited to be able to share some additional pictures from the Women In Ministry Breakfast.  BIG thanks to the staff  of 95.5 The Fish and  AM 1220 The Word for creating an event that specifically honors women who serve the Lord wholeheartedly.  We also appreciate the many vendors and sponsors for their participation in making this event a huge success. 

Take a moment and see snapshots of the fun and inspirational morning that over 300 women shared together! 

Ladies enjoyed warm beverages as they mingled and visited the vendor booths.

The room was filled to capacity with women who left encouraged, inspired and challenged.

Morning show co-host Brooke Taylor did an amazing job as emcee of the event.

Debbie Stuart shared a message of inspiration that will be remembered for a long time.

The new 95.5 Mom Squad had a great time participating in the gift basket giveaway!

We pray that every woman that attended left feeling the love of Jesus and inspired to continue in their ministry.  Thanks for all that you do!!!!

2014 Women in Ministry Breakfast Recap

Kathleen Horvath, myself, Lori Triplett and band!

The weather forecast said cloudy....but the "son" was shining in Aurora, Ohio yesterday!  That's what happens when over 300 women who love Jesus come together. Our morning started with a delicious breakfast fit for a queen.  After enjoying our meal, we entered into a great time of worship led by Lori Triplett.  Lori and her band did an AMAZING job helping us all focus on the goodness of our Lord.   Thank you Lori for reminding us of how beautiful we are in the eyes of God.

What a treat it was to have Debbie Stuart as the keynote speaker. Through humorous and heartfelt stories, Debbie brought a clear message of God's faithfulness to the women.  I don't believe any of us will look at Wal Mart pajamas in the same way ever again!

The gracious staff of AM 1220 The Word did an amazing job making the women feel appreciated and special. Many women went home with amazing gift baskets that were provided by the generous sponsors. All in all, it was a perfect morning affirming and encouraging women who give sacrificially to their churches, families and ministries. 

Please allow me to end this post on a personal note.  The highlight of my day was watching a dream come true for a special woman when she won a complete self publishing package. As I was walking to my car, I had an opportunity to congratulate her.   With emotion, she began to tell me about her dream to one day write a book and shared the topic of the book with me.  I stood in complete amazement of God's provision and perfect timing.  This dear woman woke up yesterday planning to attend a breakfast not knowing that a dream was about to come true.  How GREAT is our God!
