Carla's Review of Miss Molly's Tea Room and Gift Shop

MISS MOLLY’S TEA ROOM AND GIFT SHOP

I cannot think of a more delightful way to spend a day than to have tea and lunch together with dear friends in a quaint and charming environment. That is exactly the special experience
Miss Molly’s Tea Room in Medina provides: feminine, elegant, and relaxing.
Walking into the gift shop with its beautiful displays and unique gift items was a wonderful way to begin our experience. As we were led into the restaurant with its Victorian décor, we felt as if we stepped into another era with fine china teacups, delicate lace, and floral tablecloths.

Our lunch began with the decision to try one of Miss Molly’s custom and hand blended teas from around world. Our waitress was so very patient and helpful in explaining the tea menu and allowing us to take our time to choose the perfect tea for our afternoon. Each tea arrived in its own beautiful china teapot with matching cup and saucer. How fun it was to pour our own loose leaf tea over the tiny strainer into our cup! The Ginger Peach Green Tea was one of our favorites with a smooth, sweet taste and a tangy bite of ginger. For those who are prefer other beverages, Miss Molly’s also offer hot cocoa, gourmet coffee, or fresh brewed iced tea.

Lunch was just as tasty and excellent! Many of us chose to create our custom dishes by ordering Miss Molly’s Homemade Creations where we were able to select three items from: the soup of the day, chicken or tuna salad, cranberry salad, cucumber salad, strawberry pretzel salad, or broccoli salad. We all appreciated the opportunity to try a sampling of so many of these homemade and unique salads. The lemon tea bread on the side was a special sweet treat. The menu includes other offerings such as full lunch salads, quiches, and sandwiches.

As we sat and talked, laughed, and shared life together over tea and lunch, the environment only invited us to stay a little longer. It was hard to leave such a beautiful and welcoming place. If you need a special day out with a friend, sister, mother or daughter, make your reservations for Miss Molly’s Tea Room. You will enjoy a one of a kind experience!

Let Us Pray

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today, we humbly bow before your presence with thanksgiving. Today, we will choose to be still and know that you are God. We thank you for your grace, favor, and mercy. For you alone are worthy to be praised. We also thank you in advance for moving in our lives and doing the impossible. Your presence is what keeps us moving joyfully down this path where there is much uncertainty but we put our hope, faith, and trust in you. Thank you for loving us unconditionally. We thank you for promotion on our jobs, peace in our marriages and singleness, and joy that only you can give. Today we decree and declare that we are walking in purpose on purpose and know the call of our lives. May we excel above even our own expectations. Lord we ask that your light in us will shine in the darkest places and that when people see us may they see you. We plead your blood over our minds, bodies, and spirits. May no weapon formed against us prosper. We also ask for your constant protection and covering over those that we love today. Lord God please guide us through this week. May our paths be clear and straight. Present us with solutions before even knowing the problem. We thank you for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. May we remain is your will at all times. Please remove from us anything that is not like you. We thank you for open and closed doors. Allow us to be the vessel that is needed to bless and save someone today. We are living for you and you alone. May we die to our flesh daily and live in a way that gives you the glory and the honor that you deserve. Please forgive us for our sins. We love you and we thank you.

In Jesus' Name,

Amen

250/250 Challenge ~ Quality Over Quantity

 Hello Daughters of Grace

Earlier this week Sonia share her 250/250 challenge.  Burn 250 calories in exercise and eat 250 less in calories.  I’m so excited about the challenge that I am joining you all in it!!  I’ll be posting updates and pictures or my progress.  Please post yours using the hashtag #250challenge on our facebook page.
Not your friend

As I progress with this challenge I want you encourage you to focus on quality over quantity.  To keep it simple for you: On average one four ounce fried chicken breast is 300 calories.  For 320 calories you can have a four ounce (skinless) baked chicken breast, half a cup of brown rice and two cups of broccoli!!!  That feels sooo much better than just a piece of fried chicken and you’ll be much fuller!!!  Think quality of your food and what you are choosing over just the calories.  Take in more vegetables, fruit, lean proteins and whole grains and lessen those fattier processed foods that we don’t need.

With all that said I want to encourage you to jump into your kitchen!!  Dust off those pots and pans and get to cooking.  It does not have to be difficult, just delicious and healthy.  Last night I made a steak and shrimp stir fry with lean steak, shrimp, onions, pepper, broccoli and brown rice.  The whole meal took about 20 minutes to prepare and clocked in around 350 calories!  Eat your heart out Rachel Ray!  LOL!  I’d like to give you a few meal ideas that will help you cut out those 250 calories each day.  I’ll even let you keep the pasta! God bless you and enjoy!!
